According to Kelly Blue Book, the average price of a new car or truck solld in the US in April 2017 was $33,560. That's a lot of coin! This is the #1 reason why you should consider hiring a professional detailer(such as myself). My ultimate goal is to preserve your vehicles value by providing you with regularly scheduled detailing services. You will NOT need a Full service detail every time, but should consider maintaining your vehicles appearance. When you are ready to trade your vehicle in or sell your vehicle you will be glad you did. Do you lease? MORE of a reason to maintain appearance. If your leased vehicle is returned and doesn't look EXACTLY like day one, I can assure you that the dealership will beat you up.
Not so fast. You can easily go to a $10 Car wash and have your vehicle washed, but as the saying goes...you always get what you pay for. Have you ever been at a car wash and have a monster truck sitting in front of you that looked like they just drove through a mud pit? Yes, I have been there and I have always wondered if the MUD and ROCKS will end up on my vehicles paint. Answer is... YES ...there's a good chance. How about the brushes inside the wash that "slop" up against your vehice? No Thanks! Includied in all of my washes, I use a 3 bucket system and do not use shamois.(shamees). This procedure helps avoid any cross contamination or debris that will make it back onto your car during the detailing process.
Claying is a critical step that ensures that I have SAFELY removed what is called "industrial fallout" aka AIR POOP prior to polishing or applying a finish to your vehicles paint. As time goes on, air contaminents will make it's way onto your vehicles paint. Although I don't reccomend it, but if you take a sandwhich bag and place it over your hand and rub it LIGHTLY across the paint, you will feel the grit(AIR POOP). Unfortunately washing your vehicle or going through the local car wash will not remove these contaminents. What if you tried to polish your car or machine buff it with this grit still on the paint?? Answer here folks...SWIRL MARKS, SCRATCHES, and other undesired outcomes from not properly removing. All of my Machine polishes and finishes automatically come with a claybar treatment.
I recommend twice per year. This would mean that the car is properly washed, clayed, and protected with polish that I apply by machine and remove by hand. Scheduling washes weekly, monthly or quarterly in between the Full Details is encourged! I personally wash my car once a week...but I'm a car fanatic. You of course don't have to do this...but your car will be happy...and so will I. Discounts available if you are really a car buff.
